Our mission is to enrich the lives of all Sri Lankan living on the Gold Coast by creating meaningful opportunities to celebrate and preserve Sri Lankan heritage. Through cultural knowledge, traditional practices, and community events, we ensure that future generations remain connected to their roots and identity.
Our Vision is to be a pillar of strength and support for the Sri Lankan community in the Gold Coast—fostering unity, promoting shared values, and celebrating the richness of Sri Lankan culture in a multicultural Australian context.
We strengthen community connection through culture, celebration and support, hosting three major annual events—Sri Lankan New Year, the Annual Cricket Tournament and the End‑of‑Year Gala—to unite members of all ages.
Each April we celebrate Sri Lankan New Year with traditional games, rituals and shared meals. Our Annual Cricket Tournament fosters friendly competition and camaraderie, while the End‑of‑Year Gala brings everyone together for dinner, dance and live music to celebrate achievements and welcome the year ahead.
We support our senior citizens through monthly gatherings focused on wellbeing and social connection. Seniors are honoured with leadership roles during cultural events, and their stories and wisdom help strengthen intergenerational relationships within the community.
We encourage young members to participate in cultural and ceremonial activities, giving them opportunities to showcase traditional dance, music and storytelling. This involvement builds confidence, creativity and a strong sense of cultural identity
We assist newly arrived Sri Lankans with orientation, accommodation guidance and one‑on‑one support, helping them settle into life on the Gold Coast, build networks and feel welcomed into the community.
We provide financial and moral support to members facing hardship, including those affected by natural disasters, economic challenges or personal crises, ensuring no Sri Lankan on the Gold Coast feels unsupported.
We prefer communication via email.
